About the School

Krishna English Medium School is situated in a Remote village – Kongad in Palakkad district. The founder Sri. Ravindranathkurup established the school in the year 2001. He aimed to promote literary, scientific, cultural, social and artistic talents of youth and children of the remote village. The school is under the management of Krishna Educational Trust, Kongad.

Academic excellence, computer aided learning, work experience, sports & health education and value education are the main objectives of this CBSE School. To improve the standard of communication in English the campus language is made compulsory as English. Within a short span of time the school achieved the appreciation and confidence of the villagers. The school maintains cent percent result for the board exam and this year 9th batch is appearing for the board exam.  The parents are co-operative in the day-to-day activities of students and hence the standard of the school is appreciable.

The campus functions in an Eco-friendly environment. The school is spread over an area of 3.5 acres. The school provides Smart Class Rooms, Special facilities for Sports, Arts, Literary activities and information technology.

The school is committed to mould physically well-fit, emotionally well-balanced, intellectually well alert and morally perfect individuals.

Admission Overview

Krishna English Medium School welcomes students to an enriching and joyful learning experience. The admission procedure is completely transparent and has been designed to ensure a suitable fit between what the parents and children expect from the school and what the school in turn can give them.

Admission Process

Pre-primary parents applying for LKG and UKG will be required to fill out an application form. There will be no formal tests conducted for the Child. Instead, the child will be observed in a group setting to assess his/her ability to interact in a school environment.

Rules and Regulations

  1. Every day the child should come to the school in full, neat and proper uniform. Otherwise, the child will not be allowed in the class. The child shall be fined if he /she does not come in proper uniform. Uniform also includes ID cards, Shoes and Socks. Girls are expected to tie /plait their hair in two and tie white ribbons on both sides. Boys should cut their hair short. Nails should be cut and cleaned regularly; shoes regularly polished. Having a handkerchief is a must. Senior boys should have a clean shave.
  2. Students are allowed to wear colour dress to school on their birthday and only on their birthday. Students should be dressed modestly and in a simple manner. Very tight dresses, short dresses, sleeveless dresses are not allowed to school.
  3. Whenever leave is taken, it has to be recorded in the leave record in the diary and shown to the class teacher, on the very next day when the child attends school.
  4. No leave should be availed of, just a week before any examination except in case of serious illness
  5. Do not send the child to school if he/she is really ill.
  6. 80% attendance is compulsory for all students.
  7. School diary & rough note must be brought to school every day, even on examination days. The personal data should be completely and correctly filled including photos right at the beginning of the year. The perforated sheet with photo affixed is to be handed over to the class teacher.
  8. Any remark written by a teacher in the diary, should be signed by the parent and shown to the concerned teacher the very next day. Also necessary action is to be taken by the parents.
  9. All the books should be maintained neatly, always. Notebooks should not be covered.
  10. Home work is to be submitted on the very next day, even if that subject is not there on that day.
  11. We do not give any group work to be done from outside school. Only work that can be done individually is given to be done from Home.
  12. For assignments and projects, students are expected to refer books and gather information, not directly download from the internet.
  13. Facebook, WhatsApp, internet usage etc to be curbed among students. It is creating a lot of inappropriate exposure and lot of issues.
  14. Mobile Phones, CDs and such other things that are not required for class should not be brought to the school. Once confiscated it will not be returned.
  15. Aerated drinks are prohibited in school. Also conducting parties and get-togethers within the school premises is prohibited.
  16. Phone calls to enquire about anything regarding the school, are to be made to the school office and only to the school office and respected faculties on the given time.
  17. Please do not try to contact any of the management members on their personal number.
  18. Giving gifts to any staff member is a practice we do not approve of.
  19. All the students should submit Aadhaar number at the school.
